I’ve started a few businesses and I know a lot of people out there who are thinking of starting their own businesses in the New Year. Keep in mind, a business is more than just an idea you have. You must take that idea and see it to launch and execute and, hopefully, profitability as that is the end goal of most businesses outside of your personal reasons or goals for starting them. However, in between that ideation and launch process, there are a bunch of things that need to be done to ensure you have a legit business. We are going to walk through each of those steps, one by one, so bookmark this article to refer back to it.

Start with a Really, Really Good Idea

Great businesses often start with a great, but simple, idea. It doesn’t end there, though. This good idea can’t just make sense to you and your friends or family. Does your idea solve a problem? Does it answer a question? Does it meet a need? These are all questions that you need to ask yourself.
